5 cups coffee a day Protect Women from Breast Cancer
Up to now, breast cancer is second in total cancer cases in the lower cervical cancer. According to research, women who regularly drink five or more cups of coffee a day means to protect themselves against an aggressive attack breast cancer.
It is known that breast cancer does not respond to various drugs, chemotherapy so often the only option. Chemotherapy feared because women do not want the bad change, such as the risk of hair loss to look.
In this latest study, experts from the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm, Sweden, results found that coffee drinkers have a lower incidence of breast cancer than women who rarely drank. The researchers analyzed data on nearly 6,000 women who have passed menopause.
Respondents who drank five or more cups of coffee per day had a 57 percent reduced risk of breast cancer than those who drank less than one cup per day.
Reported in the journal Breast Cancer Research, the researchers conclude, "a high daily intake of coffee appears to be associated with decreased estrogen receptor-negative breast cancer was statistically significant in postmenopausal women."
The authors also found a slightly reduced risk in all forms of breast cancer, although the correlation was large enough to other factors such as age and weight that should be taken into consideration. It is quoted in Daily Mail, Wednesday (05/11/2011).
The researchers speculate that the coffee connecting various types of breast cancer in a different way has impact. This is consistent with the finding that drinking coffee may reduce breast cancer risk overall, although experts say that further studies are needed.
